My July Monthly Favourites

20170803_145612

Hi, Hope your all having a great week. My health isnt great atm but i thought id take my mind of the pain and write up this post.  I didnt get to do my friday favourites last week and so im doing my favourites for the whole month of july. There’s alot to choose from, so im picking my top 5 favourites.

5. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

20170803_124900.jpg

I use this everyday as make up remover, cleansing my face and neck and also just to give my skin a boost.  Its so kind and gentle on the skin it soothes and doesnt cause any irritation or break outs. It lifts waterproof mascara and liner with ease. It also comes in travel size bottles and is also great for removing left over wax after waxing, it cools the skin down.

4. Itsy Nails London – DuraPro Gel Effect nail polishes.

20170803_150500.jpg

I just love these nail polishes,  I’m not great at nail art and cant do gel or acrylic nails but with these you get the look of a gel manicure with the ease of using a nail polish.  These nail polishes come in 10 stunning colours, there’s no need for a base and top coat however i do recommend using a base coat to protect your nails from staining due to the high pigmented shades. Just two even coats is all you need for a long-lasting, high shine glossy manicure.

3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

20170803_124400

I absolutely love this mascara.  You may have seen it featured in my friday favourites. This mascara is fantastic with the brush that has the curves inspired by the womans body, It seperates the lashes with ease and gives each lash an even coating while also curling the lashes and giving them extra length and volume. Theres no need for eyelash curlers with this mascara it does it all for you with minimal effort. The brush also reaches the roots of the lashes and also behind the lash. It is definitely my HG of mascaras.

2.  Skin Chemists London – 24 hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum.

20170803_125017.jpg

Im absolutely amazed with this serum, ive tried alot of serums and nothing compares. Its paraben free. I have never has a serum that gives my skin so much hydration that you can visibly see and feel the results after the first use. My skin feels smooth and hydrated and refreshed. I have very dry skin and usually have to end up using a sugar scrub to remove any dry patches of skin.  Which isnt good for your face.  I use the serum morning and night and i havent had any dry skin on my face and neck since i added this into my skincare routine.  Ive also tried this on my elbows and arms where i have eczema and its really helped minamise the dry skin.  Aswell as hydrating the skin it also firms and soothes the skin infushed with…

Rose Water which aims to maintain the skins balance whilst nourishing and firming the skin.

Aloe Vera which works to heal and rejuvenate the skin, providing hydration and improving skins texture.

1. Too Faced – Sweet Peach palette.

20170803_125057.jpg

So now im at my number 1 favourite of july and not only is it my monthly favourite but its also my Holy Grail eyeshadow palette.  It smells absolutely amazing as the shadows are infused with the juicy scent and essence of peach. The shadows are highly pigmented and all work well together with 6 matte and 12 shimmer shades one of which is very glittery and does have some fall out. (Talk Derby To Me) which is the dark purple in the bottom right corner. The shadows are super buttery and blend really well, I love how easy it is to acheive a multitude of beautiful looks from natural to bridal and smokey eyes the possibilities are endless. I love that it also includes the Too Faced Signature Glamour Guide with instructions for three make up looks to get you started making it easy for beginners to learn how to blend and build up the colours to achieve a stunning make up look.

Thanks for checking out my post i hope you all have a fantastic day.

Bye for now x

Glossybox Uk Unboxing & Review June

Glossybox Uk

IMG_20170618_124942_868.jpg

I wasn’t expecting to recieve this months Glossybox,  if you read my previous Glossybox Review you’ll know i cancelled my subscription, Well as it was my 10 year wedding anniversary 30th june my amazing hubby got me the box as part of my presents.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box subscription, each month you receive 5 beauty products which are tailored to your beauty profile. For just £10 + £3.25(P&P) You can subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or you can do month by month and cancel at anytime.

This months box also came with 2 extra goodies when you sub so I received the fantastic Dr PawPaw which I absolutely love and the Rodial XXL mascara in travel size and this mascara is fantastic.

Right onto the box itself the June Edit was the best I’ve ever had with 7 products which just blew me away, They packed so much into the box it was the most exciting unboxing that just kept giving. So this months products were a really good mix of beauty products covering hair-care, make-up, skin-care and also an extract of Wilde Like Me which launched 29th June and was written by Blogger Louise Pentland Its a much anticipated book perfect for a summer read (I’m looking forward to reading this and I don’t really read books) Also four out of the seven products are full-size so this months box really does pack all the punches.

I’ll start with

111 Skin – Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (trial-size)

If this was full-size it would be £110 which is way out of my price range but it is a fantastic product and I love using it.

Even though this isn’t a full-size product it was a good size sample, you only need a very small amount so it will last a while. I alternate between this and another eye cream.  This really is very hydrating use your ring finger in a gentle patting motion, The ring finger is always the best finger to use under the eye area as it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on the very thin skin. This also brightens up the eye and if have some left I apply it to my eye lids too. It’s really soothing and cooling to the eyes and also is a nice base for your primer.

Sleek – Power Plump Lip Crayon. (Full-size £5.50)

This super creamy natural lip crayon contains ingredients which encourage blood flow to the lips surface and give them a nice plumped up lip that also looks natural still.  I like my lips with it first and then let them start to tingle and then apply it to the rest of my lips. This is also a great base to put on before you apply your liquid lipsticks and lip glosses, It helps to keep your lipstick in place and also because the lips have been lined with the crayon it helps prevent the lipstick from bleeding. The lips look nice and natural.

Batiste – Stylist Sheild My Locks Heat & Shine Spray 200ml (Full-size £4.49).

Batiste is a brand I love for their fantastic quality dry shampoo and their affordable for all prices, This product doesn’t disappoint either. Protect the hair against the heat from hair dryers, straighteners, etc up to 230○c, Each time you use them it causes damage to your hair and so having a heat protection spray that works is a must and this gives you the protection you need plus it’s also a styling spray so no need for multiple products. I’ve been using this all the time and I love the shine it gives your hair and also the fact that it doesn’t make the hair stiff like hair spray and other styling products can. It’s also great if you just want to add a bit of shine and freshness to your hair it looks natural and fresh.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Sheer Glo. (£22.50)

This is a great highlight to use alone along the cheek bones and in all the places where the light would naturally give a glo, It’s also perfect for mixing into your usual liquid foundation to give a dewier make-up look.  I love to add some when I’m feeling like I need to brighten up my face without having to do a full face of make-up. This would be perfect for a natural look on a summer’s day or evening with a black or brown mascara, a bit of shimmer eyeshadow, a little bit of bronzer and a light lip gloss. Continue reading

Strongest points

Deeply hydrating,
Moisturising,
Absorbs instantly,
Antioxidant properties,
Anti inflammatory,
Anti bacterial,
Soft and smooth skin,
Suits all skin types,
Suitable for sensitive skin,
Natural,

Weakest points

Very expensive,
Solidifies in cold,

Summary

I hadn’t heard of the brand Innarah before so had to read up about. It sounded like an oil that was going to be a good treat for my skin.
I have sensitive dry skin and I do get a lot of break outs (blotchy rashes) on my face from alot of products I try.
My dropper didn’t pick up any of the oil so I had to just dab it on my skin which meant I didn’t know how much I was using.
Being able to see the oil is a bit off-putting but I saw they sell it in the purple bottles which have a luxury expensive look. This which means you don’t see the sediment collecting in the bottle. It does collect around the opening of the bottle shaking didn’t remove that, I used a cotton bud with hit water but made sure it didn’t go into the oil. But they do warn about this and as it’s natural and herbal it is to be expected. It’s best to keep it at room temperature as it does tend to start solidifying. My bedroom is always cold so I pit the bottle in the palm of my hands to warm it up and the sediment goes when shaking the bottle but not fully.
The oil is smooth and when applied to the skin absorbs instantly. It does have a strong scent which was a bit off-putting but it fades away quite quickly.
I do like this product and loved how soft my skin was and it soothes any sensitive skin and also has a slight warning too it. It’s deeply hydrating and moisturising and as a multitude of natural healing, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial properties.
I have only noticed a difference in the smoothness of my skin and how hydrated it feels. I use this twice a day it compliments the moisturiser you use and gives the skin a boost of hydration and the skin feels nourished. It doesn’t leave your skin looking greasy or shiny and can be used under your usual makeup for an added boost of moisture.
I’m pleased I was able to trial such an expensive product and feel like it really does make a huge difference to your face and neck. My skin felt revived and deeply hydrated and nourished. If you can afford to spend a lot of money on skin care products then this will be perfect to add to your daily skincare routine. I’m on a low-income and car afford to spend hundreds of £’s on one product.
Which is a shame as I am enjoying using it.
I’m not going to recommend this product due to the fact of most people not being able to spend so much money on one product.

Would you recommend this product?

No

Friday Favourites

Dr PawPaw

20170522_180010

So it’s the first Friday Favourites of June and it has to be without a doubt the fab Dr PawPaw Original Balm. I remember whenever I hurt myself when I was little my mam or dad would get out the antiseptic cream and the always called it magic cream, myself and my siblings thought it really was magic.  Now I have 2 children I say the same thing but that antiseptic cream isn’t as good as Dr PawPaw which truly is a magic cream.

Its fragrance free and can be used on cuts and grazes. Sunburn, dry skin, chapped lips, minor burns, rashes, nappy rash, for the nails and cuticle’s, it can even be used as a conditioner for the hair. Also can be used before you apply makeup if you have patchy dry skin.

It’s kind to skin, softens and soothes and heals the skin and also keeps it clean (make sure to clean the skin before applying the balm, It is natural and made in the UK.

I think everyone should own this, great for in the car, holidays, baby changing bag and handbags you never know when you might need it. It’s widely available and a bargain @ £6.95.

I hadn’t heard much about Dr PawPaw before, That’s mainly due to the fact I’ve been bedridden for so long. Thanks to Glossybox for adding it into Mays box. I will be buying more and would like to try out the other products available.

Do you have a product that you can’t live without? Let me know.

Have a beautiful weekend 💖

Birchbox Review May 2017

Birchbox

IMG_20170510_130436_298

This months Birchbox theme is

‘It’s All In The Details’ it’s so true that the small things really matter.

So this months box is all about the little things we can do to make a big difference in our lives.  Im in love with the marble and rose gold box definitely my favourite birchbox box.

This month subscribers had the option of choosing between two shades of mineral eyeshadow, Fifty Shades or Vanilla Frosting. So first item is –

Marsk – Mineral Eyeshadow… (Full size).

I choose Fifty Shades which is a gorgeous grey colour its a beautiful silky shadow which works well for lots of different eye looks.  I suggest using a small amount on your brush and building it up to create the look you want instead of applying loads to start because a small amount really does go along way.  If you prefer a really intense look pack it onto your lid using a wet brush. Its 100% natural so even great for sensitive eyes.  I’ve also added a tiny bit on top of a smokey eye to give it a bit of dimension. Due to the fact that you don’t need to use a lot this will last a while making it a great purchase. RRP £14.49

Doucce – Punk Volumizer Mascara (Birchbox Exclusive) Travel size.

Everyone received this mascara in their boxes and its a great match with the Marsk,  It has a jumbo fibre wand which separates the lashes with ease and thickens and lengthens giving the look of false lashes.

This is a travel size mascara and because it’s so small and i have problems with my hands i didn’t get on very well with it. If it was full size id have been fine.  I prefer a smaller brush for my bottom lashes too so this has gone to my daughter and she really loves it. (Full size RRP £18)

Beauty Protector – Protect & Volume (Birchbox Exclusive) Travel size.

This is the product you need if you love extra volume and have to use loads of different products to achieve it. This is vegan friendly and paraben-free no nasty chemicals and smells lovely.  This will add volume and shine leaving your hair looking fabulous.

This wasn’t really the product for me due to having such this hair i really don’t need any extra volume but if used it on my daughter’s hair and it does add a lovely shine without looking greasy. Full size RRP £18.50.

Whish – Firming Body Cream (Birchbox Exclusive) Travel size.

Use this to firm and tone the skin great if you have any blemishes or marks on your skin, It has a blend of organic shea butter, green tea and cocoa seed butter so smells gorgeous and is also really moisturising for your skin.  Using a small amount massaged into your skin daily.

Unfortunately I’m not able to use this product it caused my skin to break out so im not able to give you my honest opinion because i havent used it only did a skin test.  I will be passing this onto a family member and i will give you their opinion when I have it.  Full size RRP £27.00.

Doux Me – Pure Spring Mist (Birchbox Exclusive)  Travel size.

Lastly is actually a totally shock for me as I never thought I’d be saying this but i actually like it and use it daily.  When i first saw it I was a bit gutted to be honest with you but ive changed my mind totally here’s why….

As you probably know about my health problems im not going to bore you with it again, because of those health problems im bedridden and im not able to move at all most days so I have my husband care for me. Everything has to be brought to me and I have to rely on him and my two fantastic kids and family to be able to wash  (using a bucket most of the time)  anyway if my husband and kids aren’t hear and i feel like I want to have a wash and freshen up im not able to until they get home.  So i thought id give this a try along with my Nivea Cleansing cream wash  and wow it really did help. So now i have this on the shelf next to my bed along with the wash and a towel and I can freshen up at anytime. Believe me when you’ve been stuck bedridden for all the years I have it makes you so thankful for those little details and to be able to freshen up without having to rely on others is a big thing and im so pleased this was in the box and im so pleased i tried it.  I literally use it everyday now and will be buying it again.  It really showed me i shouldn’t judge it until I’ve tried it.  Full size RRP £16.

So overall this was a good box for me even though im only using the spray and the mineral eyeshadow those two alone cover the cost of the box.

Unfortunately this is my last Birchbox for a few months just like Roccabox im going to miss these boxes.
