Glossybox Uk Unboxing & Review June

Glossybox Uk

I wasn’t expecting to recieve this months Glossybox,  if you read my previous Glossybox Review you’ll know i cancelled my subscription, Well as it was my 10 year wedding anniversary 30th june my amazing hubby got me the box as part of my presents.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box subscription, each month you receive 5 beauty products which are tailored to your beauty profile. For just £10 + £3.25(P&P) You can subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or you can do month by month and cancel at anytime.

This months box also came with 2 extra goodies when you sub so I received the fantastic Dr PawPaw which I absolutely love and the Rodial XXL mascara in travel size and this mascara is fantastic.

Right onto the box itself the June Edit was the best I’ve ever had with 7 products which just blew me away, They packed so much into the box it was the most exciting unboxing that just kept giving. So this months products were a really good mix of beauty products covering hair-care, make-up, skin-care and also an extract of Wilde Like Me which launched 29th June and was written by Blogger Louise Pentland Its a much anticipated book perfect for a summer read (I’m looking forward to reading this and I don’t really read books) Also four out of the seven products are full-size so this months box really does pack all the punches.

I’ll start with

111 Skin – Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (trial-size)

If this was full-size it would be £110 which is way out of my price range but it is a fantastic product and I love using it.

Even though this isn’t a full-size product it was a good size sample, you only need a very small amount so it will last a while. I alternate between this and another eye cream.  This really is very hydrating use your ring finger in a gentle patting motion, The ring finger is always the best finger to use under the eye area as it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on the very thin skin. This also brightens up the eye and if have some left I apply it to my eye lids too. It’s really soothing and cooling to the eyes and also is a nice base for your primer.

Sleek – Power Plump Lip Crayon. (Full-size £5.50)

This super creamy natural lip crayon contains ingredients which encourage blood flow to the lips surface and give them a nice plumped up lip that also looks natural still.  I like my lips with it first and then let them start to tingle and then apply it to the rest of my lips. This is also a great base to put on before you apply your liquid lipsticks and lip glosses, It helps to keep your lipstick in place and also because the lips have been lined with the crayon it helps prevent the lipstick from bleeding. The lips look nice and natural.

Batiste – Stylist Sheild My Locks Heat & Shine Spray 200ml (Full-size £4.49).

Batiste is a brand I love for their fantastic quality dry shampoo and their affordable for all prices, This product doesn’t disappoint either. Protect the hair against the heat from hair dryers, straighteners, etc up to 230○c, Each time you use them it causes damage to your hair and so having a heat protection spray that works is a must and this gives you the protection you need plus it’s also a styling spray so no need for multiple products. I’ve been using this all the time and I love the shine it gives your hair and also the fact that it doesn’t make the hair stiff like hair spray and other styling products can. It’s also great if you just want to add a bit of shine and freshness to your hair it looks natural and fresh.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Sheer Glo. (£22.50)

This is a great highlight to use alone along the cheek bones and in all the places where the light would naturally give a glo, It’s also perfect for mixing into your usual liquid foundation to give a dewier make-up look.  I love to add some when I’m feeling like I need to brighten up my face without having to do a full face of make-up. This would be perfect for a natural look on a summer’s day or evening with a black or brown mascara, a bit of shimmer eyeshadow, a little bit of bronzer and a light lip gloss. Continue reading

Beauty on Trial 2nd Trial & Review

Barry M Metallic

Liquid Liner

This is another trial I did for “Beauty On Trial’ it’s definitely a product I love and really enjoy using.

Strongest points

Easy to use,
Fine tip,
Dries fast,
Highly pigmented,
Great quality,
Trusted brand,
Vegetarian friendly
Not tested on animals

Weakest points

None found

I’ve never been that good at applying liquid liners so I was expecting to get the same results with this, that was until I opened it and saw the firm tip applicator. So I gave it ago and for the first time ever I got a beautiful application and a gorgeous cat eye.
The firm tip means it can be controlled a lot easier and more precise. With the long handle it’s easy to hold and sits nicely in the hand.
It’s highly pigmented and creates a gorgeous metallic look and doesn’t crack or split like others do.
The quality is fantastic and at the price it’s affordable for everyone. Barry m is a cult brand that produce good quality cosmetics and also alternatives which are just as good as the high-end brands. Definitely a brand to watch.

Quick Review

Cowshed Lippy Cow Lip Balm

Strongest points

Works really well
Not sticky
Easy to use
Softens lips

Weakest points

None found

I really like this product it’s in an easy to use tube and you don’t need to use a lot. It’s very Creamy and soothes dry lips while also softening them.
I use this daily and always put some on and allow to soak in before applying matte liquid lipstick or just a normal matte lipstick. It stops the lips drying out from the matte lippy.
I have also used this on some dry places on my face and it worked really well. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Look incredible deluxe review may

Look Incredible Deluxe Edition

This is the Deluxe edition to the black look incredible beauty box, This one is £35 per month and as with the black box can be cancelled at anytime. The Deluxe box is a high-end branded box with the top names in the beauty world featuring month to month. may’s edit was an impressive one.

So this may deluxe box was impressive. I can’t believe were into June already I’m watching the days go by through my window.

Mine and my daughter’s favourite product as you might have seen it was featured in last week’s ‘Friday Favourites’

Too Faced – Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette (Limited Edition) – RRP £32

Here’s the link to my Friday Favourites post where i review this gorgeous palette.

Totally Cute Palette

Dior – Diorshow- Khol eyeliner RRP £19.50

Loving this it is a gorgeous true black and is so smooth and creamy and so easy to apply, It is best for the water line and the tight line. It can also be used as a base all over the lid under eye shadow for a bold look and professional hold. It really makes the eyes brighter and it lasts for hours mine lasted 8 hours or so. The best kohl I’ve had in a very long time.

Laura Geller – Lip Crayon – RRP £17.99

A gorgeous matte red lip crayon which isn’t really bright and in your face, it’s very smooth to apply and only needs one sweep across the lips.  I like how subtle it is and it lasts hours. It’s lovely and creamy on the lips, and even though it’s a matte crayon it doesn’t dry the lips. I’ve used it alone and also over the nyx lip primer when my lips were dry.

No7 – Completely Quenched body lotion – RRP £12

I’m a huge fan of the No7 brand and so I knew that I’d be impressed.  A luxurious and lightweight cream which nourishes, moisturises, evens out skin texture and hydrates the skin. Leaving the skin feeling refreshed, silky smooth and looking radiant with 48 hour protection.

Lancome – Le Sourcil Pro Eye Pencil duo. RRP £19.99

This double ended pencil has a brow liner on one end with fills in the sparse area’s and gives the brows depth, definition and helps to create the perfect shape. Then use the highlighter on the other end to sharpen the brows and enhance the arches of the brows and brightens up the eyes.  I love this it makes doing the brows so much easier.

I’m definitely happy with all of the products and pleased that I’m able to use them all. This box was worth a huge £102 and for £35 that is a huge bargain. I’m really looking forward to seeing the June Edition of both boxes. Only a few days away

Let me know what you think hope you have an awesome weekend. Thanks for checking out my blog.

Beauty On Trial – 1st Trial and review

Me Me Me

Boho Balm Lip Cheek Tint

So a short while ago I joined a beauty website called Beauty On Trial which is where you review all the beauty products you’ve tried and also read reviews from other members which I absolutely love, they’re truthful and honest reviews.

Also they run competitions to trial products all the time so it’s fun too.  It’s a great way to find out about new products. They also have a forum where they discuss all things beauty including freebies they’ve received and ways for you to get a free sample  All sharing what they find.

So I joined and I did a few reviews and then I received an email to say admin had posted on my wall and I was asked if I’d be interested in trailing the Me Me Me Boho Balm.  I said yes and they popped it in the post and also popped in 2 extra products for me which i didn’t expect so that was super kind of them.

I couldn’t wait to try the balm as I’d never tried a balm lip & cheek tint before but I’ve always loved the consistency of balms

So here’s what I thought if the Boho Balm (This is my 100% honest truth and I’m not getting paid)

Great multitasker

Strongest points
Great price,
blends well,
not greasy or oily, smells great,
nice colours,
Looks great,
not sticky,
A lot of product,
Pretty packaging,
Easy to apply,
Weakest points
Hard to open,
Gets messy in hot weather.
Need to keep it cool
Easy to put too much in the brush.
Colours can end up mixing on the join.
When I tried opening the tin I hurt my hands. I had to get my husband to open it. Now I don’t push the lid all the way closed so that I can open it myself. I really like this product I really like that it’s a balm which i feel is better than a liquid. I have tried this with a few different brushes and also my fingers and the way I prefer to use it is by first applying it with clean fingers and patting it in and then I use a soft angled blush brush to blend it out giving a more natural look. When just using a brush it’s easy to get too much in the brush as a tiny amount goes along way. If you prefer to use a brush then it’s best to get as much of the excess off before applying it to your cheeks. This will give you a better application especially if you’re wearing it with a full face of make up. It gives a nice dewy look.
I like to wear this without makeup too, I find a little bit into the apples if the cheeks gives a very natural look.
These both look really nice on the lips and I do use a lip brush to apply it. Because it’s a balm it’s also lovely and creamy and doesn’t dry the lips out.
In warmer weather the balm can start to melt so it’s best to keep it cool. I think this is a great product and would be great for festivals and concerts and even garden parties. When you’re not wearing make up. One product with two uses. Great yo pop in your handbag or even a school bag. I think this is appealing to all ages.
If you love to review beauty products and also like to trial products then you should check out
Next trial product is Barry M metalic eyeliner.

Look Incredible Unboxing & Review May

Look Incredible

Beauty Box

This is the Look Incredible standard box which is £25 per month all in.  Each month there are 5 beauty products from big brands and each box has a value over £70.  You pay month by month and can cancel at anytime, but what’s unique about Look incredible is that you can choose to receive your box on certain months just by contacting them. Which is fantastic. Making it fit in with you and your budget.

This month is another great edit with a nice selection of products.

Starting with my favourite.

Nails Inc London – Prince’s Square – RRP £15

I love Nails Inc nail polishes and was so happy to see it in this months box. A beautiful nude pink colour. It’s Ergonomically designed to work with the shape of the nails and because of the wide flat brush you need fewer strokes and get a professional looking manicure every time. Small nails only need one stroke of the brush and my thumb only needs two. I know I’ll have salon quality nails everytime.

Ciate – Glow to illuminating blush. RRP £22.

This has to be the prettiest blush i have ever seen. This has a unique proprietary blend, Prisma technology combines silky matte blush with ultra fine powder highlighter. Giving it a marbled finish.  This blush is so light and silky on the skin and gives the most beautiful glow. Lasting up to 12 hours it has real staying power. This is lovely to apply without makeup and give a natural looking glow. You can also build it up to gain the intensity you require. I love that it’s both a highlighter and blush combined.  If you want to add more highlight on It’s own just use a small highlighter brush to pick up the highlight.  It’s really beautiful.

Estee Lauder – Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion 250 Quiet Riot. RRP £17.

This is the most beautiful red. This is a luxurious liquid lipstick, which is highly moisturising and doesn’t leave the lips sticky. With a unique curved applicator it glides across the lips with ease, but its easy yo have too much on the applicator. It gives a beautiful bold colour which with a satin-matte finish it lasts up to 8 hours. It does bleed a little but that’s without a lip liner.

Lord & berry – Magic brow pencil – #1704 Wonderful. RRP £14

This is a two colour marbled effect brow pencil which is highly pigmented and enhances and defines the brows to give a natural look.  Using small strokes and also shading to get definition then use the spooly applicator on the other end to comb the colour through the brows. Used lightly this can work with most hair colours. Build up the colour bit by bit using light strokes to achieve the brows you want.  It’s great for popping in your bag for throughout the day.

St Tropez – gradual tan Four in One – Tan, Tone, Firm and Moisturise. RRP £16

This is a product that i was happy to see with the hope of finally hiding my milk bottle legs or as I used to say (moon burn).

I haven’t used fake tan since 2005 and that was the same sort of tanning product as this so I was happy and knew how it worked.  I applied this to one leg first and then I would be able to see the comparison between both legs. It’s very moisturising. It did give a tanned look but on my skin it had more of a yellow tone to it. I tried on my arms and chest and it still looked yellow so this product is my for me and so I’ll be passing this onto whoever would like it. Such a shame though.

This is my 4th Look Incredible Beauty Box and with a value of £84 this month. I’m very impressed.  I’m looking forward to my June box arriving.  The May Deluxe box review will be posted tomorrow.

This month has been a fantastic month for beauty boxes and unfortunately the next few months will only be reviews on the two look incredible boxes.

I hope you had a fantastic month thanks for popping by and checking out my blog. Let me know what beauty box you preferred this month.

Have a beautiful day remember to smile because we’re all beautiful 💞

My 1st Beauty Box Review. Look Incredible February Edition 2017

Look Incredible February Edition 2017

So here’s my first  beauty box,  I decided as im new to the awesome beauty world and didnt know much about it anymore id buy a subscription beautybox.

Look incredible really appealed to me after seeing reviews.

Each month costs £18.99 plus £2.50 p&p. This beautybox sets itself apart from a lot of the others as it has 5 full size items each month from brands you can find on the high street plus up and coming brands.

Everyone gets the same in their boxes unless you choose the deluxe box which is £35.00 which has 5 full size products in from high end brands like mac and Nars etc.

1. Studio10 Brow Lift Perfecting £22.00 Great for a natural looking brow, it is double ended. Ash colour which mimics hair the colour adjusts depending on how hard you press and how much you build it up. The opposite end is a creamy natural skin coloured highlighter to define and sharpen the brows.

It’s the first time id ever had an eyebrow pencil before, i was nervous about using it but i was really happy with the way it applies.  If you use it lightly it works really well with light brows like mine where you cant even see half.  I managed to get a good first brow, and was pleased with myself. It is great because the more pressure you use the darker it applies. Very nice start to the box.

2. Korres Mango butter lipstick £9.99  Treat your lips to a hint of colour, buttery soft and incredibly moisturising creating a high shine but sheer look. it hydrates the lips even in the harshest weather.

This is a lovely sheer lipstick which is can be subtle if you prefer a natural look with no makeup,  it’s very hydrating and leaves your lips feeling lovely and soft while looking great.

3. Nails Inc westbourne park NailKail £15.00  NailKale is the is the first nail care range formulated with anti-oxidant kale which nourishes, protects and strengthens. Also includes nails Inc’s regenerating complex which boosts the production of keratin for harder, stronger and healthy nails.

I fell in love with it as soon as i saw it. I’ve never bought nail polish costing more than £10 before and i could never get my nails to look good without streaks and smudges.  But i applied this without a single streak or smudge mark. Even using my left hand and the fact that my hands shake a lot It’s a fantastic polish that results in professional looking nails. Very very happy and my favorite nail polish now.

4. Fresh Face Essence With Green Coffee £20.00 Revitalising and hydrating with antioxidant rich green coffee which shields and rejuvenates skin cells. Its brightening micros spheres smooth and tone the skin also forms a protective micro network on the surface of the skin to prevent dehydration.

This is a fantastic product I really love how it leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean,  i have really sensitive skin and suffer with psoriasis and eczema and so i have a lot of dry flakey skin on my face.  I have been using Soap and Glory scrub which is great for removing all the dead dry flaky skin but it can leave my skin sore. Now I’ve included this into my skin care routine i don’t need to use the scrub as often.  (I’ll write a post about how I use the scrub) My favourite time to use this is straight after using wipes to remove my makeup this helps to sooth my skin and help it feel moisturised.

5. Revealed Smokey Eyeshadow Palette £20.00  This smokey palette features 20 smoldering eyeshadows to create a stunning smokey eye.

This gorgeous smokey palette has 20 shades all of which are very pigmented and you can go for a smokey look or a nude look using the natural shades, they blend really well making it easy to create the look you want. You can easily achieve lots of stunning looks. Its a favourite of mine.

Overall im very happy with this box and i call it a success.  I really love that its introduced me to brands i didn’t know and also products that i probably wouldn’t have bought at that price without trying it myself. I would definitely buy them now knowing that they’re great quality and also don’t affect my skin.

The value of the products together is £86.99  definitely a great bargain.

Great work Look Incredible
