My July Monthly Favourites

20170803_145612

Hi, Hope your all having a great week. My health isnt great atm but i thought id take my mind of the pain and write up this post.  I didnt get to do my friday favourites last week and so im doing my favourites for the whole month of july. There’s alot to choose from, so im picking my top 5 favourites.

5. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

20170803_124900.jpg

I use this everyday as make up remover, cleansing my face and neck and also just to give my skin a boost.  Its so kind and gentle on the skin it soothes and doesnt cause any irritation or break outs. It lifts waterproof mascara and liner with ease. It also comes in travel size bottles and is also great for removing left over wax after waxing, it cools the skin down.

4. Itsy Nails London – DuraPro Gel Effect nail polishes.

20170803_150500.jpg

I just love these nail polishes,  I’m not great at nail art and cant do gel or acrylic nails but with these you get the look of a gel manicure with the ease of using a nail polish.  These nail polishes come in 10 stunning colours, there’s no need for a base and top coat however i do recommend using a base coat to protect your nails from staining due to the high pigmented shades. Just two even coats is all you need for a long-lasting, high shine glossy manicure.

3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

20170803_124400

I absolutely love this mascara.  You may have seen it featured in my friday favourites. This mascara is fantastic with the brush that has the curves inspired by the womans body, It seperates the lashes with ease and gives each lash an even coating while also curling the lashes and giving them extra length and volume. Theres no need for eyelash curlers with this mascara it does it all for you with minimal effort. The brush also reaches the roots of the lashes and also behind the lash. It is definitely my HG of mascaras.

2.  Skin Chemists London – 24 hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum.

20170803_125017.jpg

Im absolutely amazed with this serum, ive tried alot of serums and nothing compares. Its paraben free. I have never has a serum that gives my skin so much hydration that you can visibly see and feel the results after the first use. My skin feels smooth and hydrated and refreshed. I have very dry skin and usually have to end up using a sugar scrub to remove any dry patches of skin.  Which isnt good for your face.  I use the serum morning and night and i havent had any dry skin on my face and neck since i added this into my skincare routine.  Ive also tried this on my elbows and arms where i have eczema and its really helped minamise the dry skin.  Aswell as hydrating the skin it also firms and soothes the skin infushed with…

Rose Water which aims to maintain the skins balance whilst nourishing and firming the skin.

Aloe Vera which works to heal and rejuvenate the skin, providing hydration and improving skins texture.

1. Too Faced – Sweet Peach palette.

20170803_125057.jpg

So now im at my number 1 favourite of july and not only is it my monthly favourite but its also my Holy Grail eyeshadow palette.  It smells absolutely amazing as the shadows are infused with the juicy scent and essence of peach. The shadows are highly pigmented and all work well together with 6 matte and 12 shimmer shades one of which is very glittery and does have some fall out. (Talk Derby To Me) which is the dark purple in the bottom right corner. The shadows are super buttery and blend really well, I love how easy it is to acheive a multitude of beautiful looks from natural to bridal and smokey eyes the possibilities are endless. I love that it also includes the Too Faced Signature Glamour Guide with instructions for three make up looks to get you started making it easy for beginners to learn how to blend and build up the colours to achieve a stunning make up look.

Thanks for checking out my post i hope you all have a fantastic day.

Bye for now x

Friday Favourites

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

20170721_231249

This week’s ‘Friday Favourite’ is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, which I absolutely love.

Ever since I started getting back into makeup I have always wanted to try this mascara.  I have watched loads of YouTube videos and loved the results.  I asked my hubby if he could get me some for my birthday and showed him a picture (for the 100th time)  He wrote it down and took a photo so he couldn’t forget bless him. Then two days later my look Incredible beauty boxes arrived (sorry I was too poorly to do blog posts, but I will) my son was unboxing the deluxe box and I spotted the pink tube and couldn’t believe it.  I was so happy and couldn’t wait to use it.

I absolutely love this mascara and it was so worth the wait.

It looks stunning the pink packaging and raised and embossed lettering really gives it a luxury look.  The brush was inspired by the curves of beautiful  women and it really does make a huge difference compared to a standard brush style.

The brush coats each lash perfectly and lengthens and curls the lashes with just one application.  They suggest 3 even applications but I tend to mainly do just one, unless I want fuller lashes and then I just add the extra onto the top halves of my lashes and they look like false lashes.  This mascara doesn’t clump together either.  It doesn’t claim to be water proof but my daughter went swimming for a few hours and it stayed in place no panda eye’s.  The water proof ‘Better Than Sex Mascara’ is in a mint green packaging.

I definitely recommend this mascara it really is worth every penny.   The mascara is available in a wide range of stores like ‘Debenhams and online at Look Incredible the full-size is available around £18-£19 and you can also purchase a deluxe size for around £11-£12 and that will go along way because you don’t need to use a lot.

Definitely my no 1 mascara.

Thanks for checking out my post and I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Bye for now x

IMG_20170719_112522_598.jpg

Hi Guys,  Hope everyone is having fab week.

I have an unboxing to share with you and I must say that yet again Look Incredible have blown me away.  I’m so pleased with the products and looking forward to using them.

First up is…

Too Faced – Love Flush Blush – Funfetti. £30.  This is the cutest blusher I have ever seen.  It is a long-wear formula which lasts upto 16 hours.  Highly pigmented and buttery. Sounds fantastic.

Dior – Diorific Mat – 504 Magique. £29.50  Such a stunning red perfect for summer.  It’s weightless and long-wearing with a powdery matte finish which continuously moisturises lips without drying them out. (Limited Edition)

Utan & Tone – Coconut Tanning Water. £17.99  This is for the face and can also be used as a primer and setting spray. Infused with real coconut and vitamins, a light weight refreshing mist that develops into a sun-kissed tan in 4-6 hours.   It smells gorgeous too.

Bareminerals – Blemish Remedy Prep Gel. £22

This light weight gel glides on effortlessly and immediately dries to an invisible matte finish.  Formulated with Aspen Bark, Tea Tree Oil and a peptide complex. I’ve got high hopes for this primer and hoping it helps with my skin.

First impressions I’m  very happy with the products This month and I’m looking forward to trying them all. The products in this months deluxe box are £99.49 so definitely a great bargain.

If you love the products in this months box and would like to get one you can still order them until the end of the month if they’re still in stock.

You can purchase it as a one-off from their shop or subscribe and if you want to subscribe but don’t have the budget to get it each month if you email them they will work it out for you to do that.  How fab is that? I’ve never known any other subscription service do that from tv subs to magazine subs and box subscriptions.

Also don’t forget they also sell a cheaper beauty box for £25 per month. I don’t get it each month now due to having to save my money for my daughters 13th birthday next month. Anyway they have always been great boxes from my experience,  You will get 5 full size products with a value £70+ and brands have included, Nails Inc, Estee Lauder, Bareminerals, Stila and Nars plus many more.

Look Incredible

All products are also available in the Look Incredible shop.

Hope you have a fab day and weekend. Thanks for checking out my unboxing post.

If you have any suggestions for me let me know in the comments.

Bye for now ❤

Glossybox Uk Unboxing & Review June

Glossybox Uk

IMG_20170618_124942_868.jpg

I wasn’t expecting to recieve this months Glossybox,  if you read my previous Glossybox Review you’ll know i cancelled my subscription, Well as it was my 10 year wedding anniversary 30th june my amazing hubby got me the box as part of my presents.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box subscription, each month you receive 5 beauty products which are tailored to your beauty profile. For just £10 + £3.25(P&P) You can subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or you can do month by month and cancel at anytime.

This months box also came with 2 extra goodies when you sub so I received the fantastic Dr PawPaw which I absolutely love and the Rodial XXL mascara in travel size and this mascara is fantastic.

Right onto the box itself the June Edit was the best I’ve ever had with 7 products which just blew me away, They packed so much into the box it was the most exciting unboxing that just kept giving. So this months products were a really good mix of beauty products covering hair-care, make-up, skin-care and also an extract of Wilde Like Me which launched 29th June and was written by Blogger Louise Pentland Its a much anticipated book perfect for a summer read (I’m looking forward to reading this and I don’t really read books) Also four out of the seven products are full-size so this months box really does pack all the punches.

I’ll start with

111 Skin – Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (trial-size)

If this was full-size it would be £110 which is way out of my price range but it is a fantastic product and I love using it.

Even though this isn’t a full-size product it was a good size sample, you only need a very small amount so it will last a while. I alternate between this and another eye cream.  This really is very hydrating use your ring finger in a gentle patting motion, The ring finger is always the best finger to use under the eye area as it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on the very thin skin. This also brightens up the eye and if have some left I apply it to my eye lids too. It’s really soothing and cooling to the eyes and also is a nice base for your primer.

Sleek – Power Plump Lip Crayon. (Full-size £5.50)

This super creamy natural lip crayon contains ingredients which encourage blood flow to the lips surface and give them a nice plumped up lip that also looks natural still.  I like my lips with it first and then let them start to tingle and then apply it to the rest of my lips. This is also a great base to put on before you apply your liquid lipsticks and lip glosses, It helps to keep your lipstick in place and also because the lips have been lined with the crayon it helps prevent the lipstick from bleeding. The lips look nice and natural.

Batiste – Stylist Sheild My Locks Heat & Shine Spray 200ml (Full-size £4.49).

Batiste is a brand I love for their fantastic quality dry shampoo and their affordable for all prices, This product doesn’t disappoint either. Protect the hair against the heat from hair dryers, straighteners, etc up to 230○c, Each time you use them it causes damage to your hair and so having a heat protection spray that works is a must and this gives you the protection you need plus it’s also a styling spray so no need for multiple products. I’ve been using this all the time and I love the shine it gives your hair and also the fact that it doesn’t make the hair stiff like hair spray and other styling products can. It’s also great if you just want to add a bit of shine and freshness to your hair it looks natural and fresh.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Sheer Glo. (£22.50)

This is a great highlight to use alone along the cheek bones and in all the places where the light would naturally give a glo, It’s also perfect for mixing into your usual liquid foundation to give a dewier make-up look.  I love to add some when I’m feeling like I need to brighten up my face without having to do a full face of make-up. This would be perfect for a natural look on a summer’s day or evening with a black or brown mascara, a bit of shimmer eyeshadow, a little bit of bronzer and a light lip gloss. Continue reading

Long-lasting,
Dries fast,
Highly pigmented,
Great quality,
Trusted brand,
Vegetarian friendly
Not tested on animals

Weakest points

Summary

I’ve never been that good at applying liquid liners so I was expecting to get the same results with this, that was until I opened it and saw the firm tip applicator. So I gave it ago and for the first time ever I got a beautiful application and a gorgeous cat eye.
The firm tip means it can be controlled a lot easier and more precise. With the long handle it’s easy to hold and sits nicely in the hand.
It’s highly pigmented and creates a gorgeous metallic look and doesn’t crack or split like others do.
The quality is fantastic and at the price it’s affordable for everyone. Barry m is a cult brand that produce good quality cosmetics and also alternatives which are just as good as the high-end brands. Definitely a brand to watch.

Beauty On Trial – 1st Trial and review

Me Me Me

Boho Balm Lip Cheek Tint

IMG_20170519_111414_115.jpg

So a short while ago I joined a beauty website called Beauty On Trial which is where you review all the beauty products you’ve tried and also read reviews from other members which I absolutely love, they’re truthful and honest reviews.

Also they run competitions to trial products all the time so it’s fun too.  It’s a great way to find out about new products. They also have a forum where they discuss all things beauty including freebies they’ve received and ways for you to get a free sample  All sharing what they find.

So I joined and I did a few reviews and then I received an email to say admin had posted on my wall and I was asked if I’d be interested in trailing the Me Me Me Boho Balm.  I said yes and they popped it in the post and also popped in 2 extra products for me which i didn’t expect so that was super kind of them.

I couldn’t wait to try the balm as I’d never tried a balm lip & cheek tint before but I’ve always loved the consistency of balms

So here’s what I thought if the Boho Balm (This is my 100% honest truth and I’m not getting paid)

Great multitasker

Strongest points
Great price,
blends well,
not greasy or oily, smells great,
nice colours,
Looks great,
not sticky,
A lot of product,
Pretty packaging,
Easy to apply,
Weakest points
Hard to open,
Gets messy in hot weather.
Need to keep it cool
Easy to put too much in the brush.
Colours can end up mixing on the join.
Overall
When I tried opening the tin I hurt my hands. I had to get my husband to open it. Now I don’t push the lid all the way closed so that I can open it myself. I really like this product I really like that it’s a balm which i feel is better than a liquid. I have tried this with a few different brushes and also my fingers and the way I prefer to use it is by first applying it with clean fingers and patting it in and then I use a soft angled blush brush to blend it out giving a more natural look. When just using a brush it’s easy to get too much in the brush as a tiny amount goes along way. If you prefer to use a brush then it’s best to get as much of the excess off before applying it to your cheeks. This will give you a better application especially if you’re wearing it with a full face of make up. It gives a nice dewy look.
I like to wear this without makeup too, I find a little bit into the apples if the cheeks gives a very natural look.
These both look really nice on the lips and I do use a lip brush to apply it. Because it’s a balm it’s also lovely and creamy and doesn’t dry the lips out.
In warmer weather the balm can start to melt so it’s best to keep it cool. I think this is a great product and would be great for festivals and concerts and even garden parties. When you’re not wearing make up. One product with two uses. Great yo pop in your handbag or even a school bag. I think this is appealing to all ages.
If you love to review beauty products and also like to trial products then you should check out
Next trial product is Barry M metalic eyeliner.
