Glossybox UK July Edit

IMG_20170712_132651_037

Here is the July Edit of Glossybox UK. The coral box is just gorgeous, it’s a limited edition and the first in a series of six I think which are being released over the summer months.

spectrumcollections – Small Fan Brush A10.
.
bellapierreofficial – Banana Powder.

.
monuspa – Aftersun.
.
papagna – Hair bobbles.
.
Shills_uk – Snail Essence Face Mask.

First impressions I’m really happy with july’s edit. So happy to have another stunning Spectrum Unicorn brush to add to my collection, the mini fan brush has so many uses highlighter, also can be used to dust off the banana powder after baking.

I’m also looking forward to trying the banana setting powder it’s a product I’ve never used as I always thought it wouldn’t work with my very pale skin tone.

I’m looking forward to trying the snail essence face mask and also the papagna hair bobbles which are like the Invisibobble.

Glossybox Uk Unboxing & Review June

Glossybox Uk

IMG_20170618_124942_868.jpg

I wasn’t expecting to recieve this months Glossybox,  if you read my previous Glossybox Review you’ll know i cancelled my subscription, Well as it was my 10 year wedding anniversary 30th june my amazing hubby got me the box as part of my presents.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box subscription, each month you receive 5 beauty products which are tailored to your beauty profile. For just £10 + £3.25(P&P) You can subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or you can do month by month and cancel at anytime.

This months box also came with 2 extra goodies when you sub so I received the fantastic Dr PawPaw which I absolutely love and the Rodial XXL mascara in travel size and this mascara is fantastic.

Right onto the box itself the June Edit was the best I’ve ever had with 7 products which just blew me away, They packed so much into the box it was the most exciting unboxing that just kept giving. So this months products were a really good mix of beauty products covering hair-care, make-up, skin-care and also an extract of Wilde Like Me which launched 29th June and was written by Blogger Louise Pentland Its a much anticipated book perfect for a summer read (I’m looking forward to reading this and I don’t really read books) Also four out of the seven products are full-size so this months box really does pack all the punches.

I’ll start with

111 Skin – Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel (trial-size)

If this was full-size it would be £110 which is way out of my price range but it is a fantastic product and I love using it.

Even though this isn’t a full-size product it was a good size sample, you only need a very small amount so it will last a while. I alternate between this and another eye cream.  This really is very hydrating use your ring finger in a gentle patting motion, The ring finger is always the best finger to use under the eye area as it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on the very thin skin. This also brightens up the eye and if have some left I apply it to my eye lids too. It’s really soothing and cooling to the eyes and also is a nice base for your primer.

Sleek – Power Plump Lip Crayon. (Full-size £5.50)

This super creamy natural lip crayon contains ingredients which encourage blood flow to the lips surface and give them a nice plumped up lip that also looks natural still.  I like my lips with it first and then let them start to tingle and then apply it to the rest of my lips. This is also a great base to put on before you apply your liquid lipsticks and lip glosses, It helps to keep your lipstick in place and also because the lips have been lined with the crayon it helps prevent the lipstick from bleeding. The lips look nice and natural.

Batiste – Stylist Sheild My Locks Heat & Shine Spray 200ml (Full-size £4.49).

Batiste is a brand I love for their fantastic quality dry shampoo and their affordable for all prices, This product doesn’t disappoint either. Protect the hair against the heat from hair dryers, straighteners, etc up to 230○c, Each time you use them it causes damage to your hair and so having a heat protection spray that works is a must and this gives you the protection you need plus it’s also a styling spray so no need for multiple products. I’ve been using this all the time and I love the shine it gives your hair and also the fact that it doesn’t make the hair stiff like hair spray and other styling products can. It’s also great if you just want to add a bit of shine and freshness to your hair it looks natural and fresh.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Sheer Glo. (£22.50)

This is a great highlight to use alone along the cheek bones and in all the places where the light would naturally give a glo, It’s also perfect for mixing into your usual liquid foundation to give a dewier make-up look.  I love to add some when I’m feeling like I need to brighten up my face without having to do a full face of make-up. This would be perfect for a natural look on a summer’s day or evening with a black or brown mascara, a bit of shimmer eyeshadow, a little bit of bronzer and a light lip gloss. Continue reading

Friday Favourites

Dr PawPaw

20170522_180010

So it’s the first Friday Favourites of June and it has to be without a doubt the fab Dr PawPaw Original Balm. I remember whenever I hurt myself when I was little my mam or dad would get out the antiseptic cream and the always called it magic cream, myself and my siblings thought it really was magic.  Now I have 2 children I say the same thing but that antiseptic cream isn’t as good as Dr PawPaw which truly is a magic cream.

Its fragrance free and can be used on cuts and grazes. Sunburn, dry skin, chapped lips, minor burns, rashes, nappy rash, for the nails and cuticle’s, it can even be used as a conditioner for the hair. Also can be used before you apply makeup if you have patchy dry skin.

It’s kind to skin, softens and soothes and heals the skin and also keeps it clean (make sure to clean the skin before applying the balm, It is natural and made in the UK.

I think everyone should own this, great for in the car, holidays, baby changing bag and handbags you never know when you might need it. It’s widely available and a bargain @ £6.95.

I hadn’t heard much about Dr PawPaw before, That’s mainly due to the fact I’ve been bedridden for so long. Thanks to Glossybox for adding it into Mays box. I will be buying more and would like to try out the other products available.

Do you have a product that you can’t live without? Let me know.

Have a beautiful weekend 💖

This months Glossybox edit is “Back To Basics” A fab selection of beauty products to get you ready for the summer. This months box also came with a £50 gift voucher to spend on a gorgeous watch from mockberg.com a lovely extra goodie.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box subscription, each month you receive 5 beauty products which are tailored to your beauty profile. For just £10 + £3.25(P&P) You can subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or you can do month by month and cancel at anytime.

This months Glossybox was a hit for me I’m really pleased with what I got.

My favourite out of them all has to be…

Scrub Love – Active Charcoal Body Scrub.

20170522_150214.jpg

This charcoal-based body scrub is 100% natural, vegan and vegetarian friendly.  It’s a fantastic body scrub exfoliating and absorbs all the daily pollutants and impurities from the skin and with Avocado and Aloe Vera it’s also soothing on your skin and hydrating and deep cleansing leaving your body feeling brand new. This smells gorgeous and has a relaxing tone which I love.  This can get messy so I put mine into a jar with a lid and I use a small spoon to get out what I need.  I recommend this and I will be buying more of these and also the coffee scrubs. Full Size  (rrp £13.95 @ scrublove.com)

Dr PawPaw – Original Balm.

This is an amazing product one of which you wonder where it’s been all your life.  A multipurpose balm which is a natural remedy for things like happy rash, sun burn and skin rashes soothing and healing the skin while protecting it.  It’s suitable for dry lips, skin, nails and even as a hair conditioner this really does do it all.  You can use it before you put makeup on and it’s perfect for under matte lipsticks preventing your lips from drying out. It’s also fragrance free and a little goes along way. This really is one if those products that everyone should have, its suitable for all ages and I can’t believe ive not bought it before. I recommend this to everyone and it’s a great price. Full Size (rrp £6.95 @ drpawpaw.com)

Ruby – Powder Blush in Coral.

I love this blush, The powder is so silky and the coral adds a gorgeous colour to your cheeks.  I’ve also pared this with the Dr PawPaw balm to add a pretty sheer coral colour to my lips. It looks really pretty as an eye shadow too. Add a touch of colour to your cheeks and add a clear lip gloss to your lips and a touch of brown/black mascara to create a beautiful no make up look. Perfect for the summer. Full Size (rrp €14.99 @ shopruby.ie)

Caudalie – Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet.

I was so pleased that this is in my box, I suffer with dry sensitive skin and this gel/cream was made for that. It changes to water when applied to the skin and feels so soft and light and also soothing on my rash.  It hydrates, moisturises and strengthens the skin.  With noticeable results this is a product that I will be purchasing again. This was a 10ml travel size (rrp £23 Full Size 40ml @ uk.caudalie.com)

Last we have a product that i have not been able to try yet. So I will have to update this part as soon as I’ve used them. So I will just give a little bit of info on the product.

Andmetics – Brow Wax Strips.

These cold was strips remove hairs from the roots for 4 weeks and they have markers which you line up you’ll have perfect brows for weeks. No pain from plucking and that worry of over plucking (which I have done loads). They only take 2 minutes and they can also be used on toes, ears, top lip and between the brows on the nose.  (Full Size £8 @ andmetics.com)

As soon as I’ve tried these I will add my review.

So this month has matched my beauty profile perfectly, I’m really impressed and I’m really enjoying using the products.

Friday Favourites

Scrub Love

IMG_20170511_125452_635

This week’s Friday Favourites is the fab Scrub Love-Active Charcoal Body Scrub Avocado and Aloe Vera.

This was inside this months Glossybox and im so pleased.

It’s a charcoal based exfoliating scrub is deeply cleansing, gently soothing and naturally hydrating, This absorbs the pollutants and impurities which are on the skin,  leaving your skin feeling silky smooth and it smells absolutely divine. Its made with 100% natural ingredients and is also vegan and vegetarian friendly which makes it suitable for all.  I have sensitive skin and this hasn’t caused a break out.  I’ve transferred mine into a jar as in the pic above. Also added the label.

I also found this very relaxing and calming so perfect to forget about the stresses of the day and unwind with a nice glass of your favourite wine, Rose or even Prosecco. 🍾

Have a fab weekend 💞

Glossybox Review April 2017

Glossybox Review April 2017

20170413_110726

This months edit is all about busy women who want beauty products that make life a bit easier.

I like all the products in this months box.  I’ll start with my favourite which has to be without a doubt…

Rodial Glamolash XXL mascara– I absolutely love this mascara and its now my number 1.  I don’t have an eyelash curler anymore so ive not been able to have gorgeous curled eyelashes until now…This mascara curled and lengthened my lashes after the first application. I usually apply 3 coats of mascara to get the length i like but with this i did one full application and then just added one coat onto the ends of my lashes, only one coat to my lower lashes.  Using this really widens up the eye and there’s no need for false lashes. I’m so pleased this was in the box and its a nice travel size too so will last a while.  I’ll be purchasing the full size for sure.

Elgon Deliwash Cleansing Conditioner – This co-wash conditioner is fantastic and is great for giving your hair a moisture boost and leaves it super soft. The main reason I love this is that its perfect for people with physical disabilities and the elderly as it saves so much time.  Because im bedridden i have to rely on my husband (my carer) to wash my hair on the bed and as it takes so long it causes a great deal of pain for me, this cuts that time in half and also rinses a lot easier than shampoo. Also meaning im not in more pain than I have to be.  I’ll be purchasing this again.

Merci Handy Love and Hand Cleansing Gel – Aswell as being a great hand sanitizer this also has micro pearls which hydrate the skin as they burst.  Hydrating and killing bacteria at the same time.  These are great to have at home, the car, your bag especially great if you have kids.

Modelco Contour Stick – This was the sneak peek from last months box so everyone received this.  I love the fact that not only is it great for contouring but makes a great eye shadow, blend it out softly and it works with a nude look, but if you pair it with a bronzer you can create a gorgeous sun-kissed look especially when you use it as a lipstick. When i use it for contouring i use it lightly as im fair-skinned and i build it up if needed, i also like to use a bronzer over the top just to give it a glow.

Sport FX Duo Definition Eyeliner – I like that its double ended and black and brown, I used this as a lipliner and also for my brows which both worked well. I love using brown on my water line to create a subtle eye look and great for the day if you prefer a softer eye.  The liners are very thin so create a delicate line which you can build up to the look you prefer.  The black isn’t a dark black either so also works well for a softer eye.

So overall im really happy with this months box and im pleased im able to use everything.
